Product description

Cragganmore is a key ingredient in White Horse and Old Parr blends , and sales of its single malt have risen to 350,000 bottles in recent years.

In 1988, Cragganmore joined United Distillers' Classic Malts series as a Speyside representative. Its main rival at the time was Mortlach. The 12-year-old has been on the market for almost 40 years and is an excellent example of a Speyside single malt . Judging by the label, the bottle presented here dates from the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Aroma: powerful and complex, beautifully composed floral tones, heather, caramel, nut mixture, traces of hay and leather, a fleeting note of smoke.

Palate: rich and deep, honey, vanilla cream, toffee, rosehip jam, prunes, dark chocolate, hazelnuts, a hint of cappuccino and traces of peat smoke.

Finish: long, honeyed, a bit of caramel and candied orange peel, a trace of licorice and a hint of peat smoke in the background.
