Product description
The history of Deau Cognac begins in 1685, when Louis Deau settled in Charente and began cultivating vines, and soon discovered the art and magic of distillation.
For several generations, his daughter-in-law's family (Legaret) has managed the vineyard and distillery (the latter has 12 stills) and currently has a stock of over 2,000 barrels of eaux-de-vie in its cellars. Louis Memory, dedicated to Louis Deau, is not only a masterpiece of the art of cognac blending, but also a tribute to the founder of Maison Deau. The grapes came from the Grande Champagne growing region, the oldest were harvested in the early 20th century, the youngest in the 1970s. This means that the eaux-de-vie used in the blend were aged from 35 to almost a hundred years. In 2019, this cognac won a double gold medal at the China Wine & Spirits Awards.
