Product description
Ian Macleod & Co. was founded in 1933 and is now owned by the Russell family. It is the tenth largest producer of Scotch whisky with annual sales of around 15 million bottles.
Its portfolio includes the Glengoyne (Highlands) and Tamdhu (Speyside) distilleries, the Chieftain's and Dun Bheagan series, and a dozen or so-called whisky brands, including Smokehead, Isle of Skye and Shieldaig. In 2018, Ian Macleod won the title of Distiller of the Year in the Icons of Whisky plebiscite organized by Whisky Magazine. The Macleod's series offers whiskies from three regions of Scotland - Speyside, Highlands and Islay and is a great introduction to the world of Scottish single malts. The company does not disclose which distilleries the whiskies in it come from.
