Product description
The vast majority of whisky lovers will probably point to Glenmorangie Distillery as the pioneer of finishing maturation.
The first edition of this type hit the market in 1987 and was the now legendary 1963 Vintage finished in Oloroso sherry butt casks . However, the real herald of the “finished” Glenmorangie was Port Wood Finish, which debuted in 1994 and was immediately included in the basic commercial offer. After 10 years of maturation in bourbon casks, the whisky spent another dozen or so months in port pipe casks . The new incarnation of Port Wood Finish has been Quinta Ruban since 2007.
