Product description
In 2011, Tamdhu Distillery, which had suspended production two years earlier, began a new chapter in its history.
Its previous owner, The Edrington Group, focused its energy and resources on the premium segment, namely the Macallan and Highland Park single malts. The offer came from Ian Macleod Distillers, the company that bought the Glengoyne distillery from Edrington in 2003. Tamdhu resumed distilling in 2012 and currently (2022) produces 3.7 million liters of distillate using around 90% of its potential. The whisky presented here, distilled in October 2007, spent 15 years in a refill hogshead cask no. DL 16954, and was bottled at 48.4% abv in Douglas Laing's Old Particular series in January 2023. The edition consisted of 349 bottles.
