Product description
The Grant brothers, James and John, built the Glen Grant Distillery in 1840.
John previously smuggled whisky from the Highlands to the Lowlands, while James became famous for his unusual method of borrowing money – he would offer his suppliers a £100 note, knowing that none of them would be able to change it. The distillery has been owned by Gruppo Campari since 2006, and its single malt reaches sales of around 3 million bottles a year, which currently puts it just outside the top ten. Glen Grant 15 year old Batch Strength, a creation of master distiller Dennis Malcolm, debuted in the Travel Retail chain in 2018. The distillates used in it were aged exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks.
