Product description
In recent years, whisky from the Jura has experienced an incredible increase in popularity.
Over the last decade, its sales have increased from less than 400,000 bottles to over 2 million. What's more, the local whisky is now the most popular single malt in Great Britain, ahead of the previous leaders – Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie. This was certainly due to a clever marketing strategy, but also to the improvement in the quality of the whisky itself – at the turn of the century, a large amount of inferior distillates was stored in the Jura warehouses, which were poured into fresh American oak barrels. The next stage was to build an attractive commercial offer. The 14-year-old presented here is one of the distillery's latest offerings. The whisky spent the main maturation period in bourbon barrels and finished in rye whiskey barrels.
