Product description
Wolfburn is a young Scottish malt distillery, although the chronicles mention a Wolfburn Distillery that operated between 1821-186(?) on a property approximately 350 metres away.
Its name refers to Wolf Burn, the water source of the original distillery. Based in Thurso, Caithness, it is the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. It began operations in January 2013, and its first single malt was released in March 2016. Wolfburn Langskip was launched two years later and is named after the Viking longships that were once commonly seen off the north coast of Scotland. The whisky was aged for around 5 years in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at 58% abv.
