Bourbon Maker's Mark, a creation of Bill Samuels Sr. in the 1950s. of the last century, in the creation of which Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle and Ernest Ripy.
After countless experiments, it was decided on a formula containing 70% corn, 16% winter wheat and 14% barley malt. Maker's Mark debuted in 1958 and remained unknown until the publication of an article in the Wall Street Journal in August 1980. Today it is one of the iconic bourbons with annual sales of more than 1.5 million cases. Its name is the idea of Margie Samuels, William's wife and a collector of tinware, which was always decorated with the "maker's mark" (maker's mark). Maker's Mark is produced in Loretto, Kentucky, and is today owned by the Beam Suntory conglomerate.
Aroma
Honey, vanilla, dry orange peel, dried dates, raisins, milk chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg and oak.
TASTE
Sweet, vanilla, milk fudge, honey, cocoa powder, peaches, raisins, roasted pecans, notes of tobacco and oak.
FINISH
Long, with notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, orange peel and oak.
