Aberlour a'bunadh Batch # 67

Let the deed show
Aberlour a'bunadh Batch # 67 / 59.8%

It's hard to believe that it's been more than 20 years since the debut of one of our favorite whiskeys. Aberlour a'bunadh appeared on the market in 1997 and for the first few years was only available through Travel Retail.

Its name translates from Gaelic as "at the root" or "at the source.". Whisky is bottled in batches (batch), always cask strength and without cold filtration. Each batch is put together from about 60-80 Oloroso sherry barrels, now first, and before that mostly second fill. Despite minor differences, past releases have shown considerable similarity in aroma and flavor palettes. Batch # 67, shown here, hit the market in the summer of 2020; it is also a gold medal winner at the World Whiskies Awards.
