Speyside-based Aberlour has been owned by Pernod Ricard since 1975 and is the first Scottish distillery to be acquired by the French company.

Equipped with two pairs of alembics, the plant can produce 3.8 million liters of distillate per year and is fully utilizing its potential. Annual sales of the local single malt are 3.6 million bottles (2017), placing it eighth in its category. Aberlour 16 Years Old Double Cask is compiled from distillates aged in bourbon and sherry casks and has been in the company's core range for years. This whisky is bottled with an alcohol content of 40%. In 2012, it won a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.

Aroma

rich and complex, dry rose petals, oranges, lemons, raisins, dried plums, cinnamon, nuts and light oak bitterness.

TASTE

beautiful balance of fruity sweetness, spices, oak and bitter almonds.

FINISH

long and warming, with notes of honey, cloves, roasted almonds and a slight bitterness of oak.
