Bottle No. 1053 / 2000
Glenmorangie Distillery operated its own maltings until 1980. The same year the distillery installed additional two stills increasing total number to four (currently Glenmorangie is equipped with 12 stills).
In 1999, to commemorate the new Millennium (or mark the passing one), the distillery owners released whisky distilled in 1974, made with malt from the original maltings. The edition was limited to 2000 bottles, all presented in handsome wooden boxes.

Finish: very long and warming, malty, spicy with peat lingering in the background.
