One of our most mysterious bottles of whisky. No doubt it is Glenfiddich distilled in 1961 and bottled in April 1984 for Zenith Italia S.R.I.
We were neither able to obtain any information about Zenith Italia, nor are we certain who the bottler was. William Grant & Sons introduced its signature triangular bottles in the late 1950s and one can assume the 21 years old presented here is not an official bottling (hard to tell from the label). Did company allow to bottle their malt by Independent Bottlers back in the early 1980 remains an open question. We are confident however that the “Zenith Italia” bottling is one of the most unique Glenfiddichs available. (According to whiskyfun.com it is an official bottling and the whisky is very good).
