The original Tullibardine Distillery operated from 1798 to 1837 but its exact site is unknown. Today’s Tullibardine was built in 1949 in Blackford, Perthshire on site of a brewery. The ownership of distillery changed several times, the last time in 2011 when Tullibardine was acquired by the French Company Picard Vins & Spiritueux, which the next couple of years significantly expanded the product range. Here we have an interesting expression, Tullibardine 1993 Vintage. The whisky was distilled under the ownership of Whyte & Mackay and bottled in 2011, by its current owners.
