An exceptional and rare single malt whisky produced at the Yamazaki distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. The plant is located amongst most exceptional scenery in Shimamoto, not far from Kyoto. Yamazaki is a pioneer of Japanese malt whisky. When creating his whisky, Torii was inspired by the traditional Scottish art of distillation. Yamazaki 25yo single malt was composed from at least 25-year-old spirits that matured in Spanish ex-sherry casks and Japanese Mizunara casks.
