There is more than one reason why this particular expression of Rosebank is ranked very high among whisky collectors. We are all familiar with Flora & Fauna series but some of us don’t remember that malts from only 9 distilleries were released between 1997 and 1998 at natural strength. They were all limited editions with several thousand bottles of each offered for sale. The distillery was mothballed in 1993 and never reopened and no one really knows how many more official bottlings the future will bring. The Flora & Fauna Cask Strength expression contains whisky distilled in 1981 and bottled at 63.9% abv 16 years later.
