Bottle No. 403, 505 / 570
Casknumber 5989
An extraordinary bottling of Blair Athol. The distillery is part of Diageo, the biggest producer of alcoholic beverages in the world.
Back in 2009 Diageo bosses challenged the managers of the Company’s 27 malt distilleries in Scotland to select just one cask from their maturing stock. The casks were to represent the definitive style of each distillery's product. The Manager's Choice Single Cask Selection was released in 2009 and 2010 and apparently offers the best malts from Diageo brand portfolio, all bottled at cask strength. The Blair Athol manager selected ex-sherry cask # 5989, the content of which filled 570 bottles.
