Springbank Distillery sits in the middle of Campbeltown, the once proclaimed ‘whisky capital of the world’. Those times are long gone and currently Campbeltown is hosting only three distilleries (Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia) with combined annual output less than one million liters of spirit. Springbank and Glengyle are owned by J. & A. Mitchell & Co. and produce the most handmade Scotch whisky, with 100% of the process being carried out on site. Springbank 21 years was part of the distillery range in 1980s and 1990s, phased out in 2002 and re-launched in 2011 (the distillery was mothballed between 1979 and 1989) as a limited yearly release.

Finish: long, in equal parts fruity and spicy, oranges, raisins, pepper, ginger, hints of hay and delicate oaky bitterness.
