Another old-fashioned expression of a classic Speysider, bottled in the 1980s for the Italian market. The whisky was aged in traditional oak barrels and sherry butts. Bottlings from over 30 years ago are extremely scarce and they are getting a lot of attention from collectors.
Nose: creamy with delicate sherry notes, orchard fruits, walnuts and toasted oak.
Palate: sweet and spicy, ginger, plums, apples, hints of milk chocolate and green oak.
Finish: smooth, slightly nutty with lingering heather honey notes.
