Tullibardine Distillery was built in 1949 on site of a brewery. In 1973 it was acquired by Invergordon Distillers, which increased the number of stills to four. Twenty years later Whyte & Mackay took over Invergordon’s operations and Tullibardine malt became important component of Whyte & Mackay blends. As a single malt Tullibardine never gained big popularity, most of the distillery output was used for blending. The 10 years old expression was introduced in the 1970s, the one presented here was bottled in the 1990s, when Tullibardine Distillery was owned by Whyte & Mackay.
