Frank McHardy is a living legend, a man behind success of Springbank and Glengyle distilleries. He joined the whisky industry in 1963 sweeping floors of the Invergordon Distillery. His career developed at Tamnavulin, Bruichladdich and Bushmills distilleries and peaked at Springbank, which he joined in 1977 as a distillery manager. During Frank’s time Springbank diversified into third range of whiskies, namely triple-distilled Hazelburn. He was also in charge for sourcing the equipment and designing the layout of the revived Glengyle Distillery. Frank retired in 2014 and the very same year was inducted into Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame. The commemorate edition contains 610 bottles, all signed by Mr. McHardy himself.
