Some believe that Glen Garioch is a weakest link in Morrison Bowmore portfolio, statement we strongly disagree with.
The distillery founded in 1797 is currently equipped with three stills (yet only two are in use) and produces very hearty Highland malt. In 2009 the company revamped the product range, increased alcohol content in standard bottlings to 48% abv and quit chill filtration. The 12 years old expression presented here is part of the new core range, it contains whisky aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks married together prior to bottling.
