In the early 1990s, after great success of the Classic Malts range, United Distillers (predecessor of Diageo) started promoting single malts from lesser-known distilleries, contributors to the company vast blended whisky portfolio (Teaninich is a main component of Johnnie Walker brand). The range is known as Flora & Fauna series. The whisky labels depict representative of flora and fauna popular on the distillery site, in case of Teaninich it is a porpoise. Teaninich 10 years old was part of the original Flora & Fauna release, sadly, several years ago the range was discontinued.
