Springbank Distillery sits in the middle of Campbeltown, the once proclaimed ‘whisky capital of the world’. The distillery has been producing whisky since 1828 and is still owned by descendants of the founding family. Springbank produces the most handmade Scotch whisky, with 100% of the process being carried out on site. The product range changes frequently, it contains three different single malts bottled with and without age statement, various wood finishes and occasionally vintage expressions. Springbank 1997 Vintage comprises whisky aged in re-charred Oloroso sherry butts and bottled in 2007 at natural strength of 55.2% abv. Only 11000 bottles were produced.
