Longrow takes its name from the distillery operated in Campbeltown, next to Springbank between 1824 and 1896 and is one of three brands of single malt produced by J&A Mitchell & Co in Springbank Distillery.
Each year only 15-20 thousand liters of Longrow is distilled, thus supply of that brand is extremely limited. However first batch of Longrow was distilled in 1973 there is notable gap in vintages up to 1990, when regular distilling of this heavily peated spirit commenced. Longrow 14 years old is a vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, bottled at 46% abv without chill-filtration. It was introduced in 2004 and remained part of the core range until 2012.
