Glenfiddich Distillery sits in Dufftown, the whisky capitol of Scotland. It was built by William Grant in 1886 and furnished with second-hand equipment purchased from Cardhu Distillery for £119 19s.
Today Glenfiddich is the biggest Scottish malt distillery and the first single malt to sell more than 1 million cases a year (2011). The 12 years old expression, ‘the distillery signature malt’ is a vatting of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks whiskies (about 10% of the latter) available all over the world. In 2014 Glenfiddich 12 years old scored gold medals at International Spirit Challenge and International Wine & Spirit Competition.
