Although there is no Glen Turner Distillery, the brand is pretty well established in Europe, especially France, and sells more than a million bottles per annum.
Glen Turner Company was founded by the French company La Martiniquaise to oversee its Scotch whisky operation, mainly production and marketing of Label 5 blend. In 2008 Glen Turner Co. purchased Glen Moray Distillery from Glenmorangie plc (Glen Moray has been a backbone of the Label 5 brand). Originally Glen Turner was bottled as pure malt, but since the company took over Glen Moray the vast majority has been marketed as single malt. It is a common knowledge that whisky for Glen Turner bottlings contain Glen Moray malt.
