Widely available expression of Clynelish, part of the extended selection of Classic Malts.
The original Clynelish Distillery was built 1819 and operated as Brora from 1969 until it’s permanent closure in 1983. The new Clynelish was built in 1967 and after planned expansion its distilling capacity will increase to roughly 9 million liters of spirit per annum. Clynelish single malt sells about 100 000 bottles annually, it is a perfect example of coastal whisky. Clynelish is a main component of Johnnie Walker Gold Label.
Nose: sweet and floral, bees wax, tangerines, sand dunes grass, hints of sea breeze and peat smoke.
Palate: nicely balanced, very clean, creamy, vanilla, oranges, oak, traces of salt and spice.
Finish: long and salty, spicy oak, vanilla, pepper and dash of herbs.
