Inver House Green Plaid is a light blended whisky created by Publicker Industries Ltd. for the American market in the mid 1950s.
In 1964 Publicker established its subsidiary Inver House Distilleries, which was responsible for the entire Scottish operations. Inver House is now part of Thai Bev and operates five malt distilleries in Scotland and produces several blended whiskies. Green Plaid is still part of Inver House brand portfolio but is produced exclusively for the American market. Little is known about its formula, one can only assume that malts from large Inver House distilleries such as Speyburn and Balmenach are the key components. Inver House Green Plaid contains large percentage of grain whisky and is bottled without age statement.
