A characteristic blended malt whisky produced by Nikka. Its formula is based on spirits distilled at Yoichi distillery on the island of Hokkaido, complemented by the spirits from Miyagikyo distillery on the island of Honshu. The whisky is called “White”, as it is produced with the use of heavily peated malt from the island of Islay, which gives it a distinctive peaty and marine flavour. It is one of the most peated whiskies produced by Nikka. Composed from spirits matured for about 5 years in traditional oak casks. Pure Malt White is sold in characteristic bottles resembling somewhat old fashioned medicine bottles.
