Old Pulteney 25 years old was introduced in 2017 then withdrew soon after and re-launched in 2019 as part of newly redesigned range.
The 2019 release is a combination of second fill ex-bourbon casks and first fill Oloroso sherry butts bottled at 46% abv. Soon after its launch Old Pulteney 25 years old scored double gold medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirit Competition. Old Pulteney is the best selling single malt brand in the Inver House portfolio (the distillery owner since 1995). Currently the brand sells about 550,000 bottles annually and is ranked among top 20 best selling single malts. The distillery is located in Northern Highlands and produces 1.8 million liters of spirit per annum.
Nose: beautifully balanced, nectarines, blood oranges, honeydew melon, vanilla, toffee, cocoa powder, hints of potpourri and candle wax, dash of salt and oak.
Palate: fruity, peaches, pink grapefruits, oranges, vanilla cream, milk chocolate, toffee, ginger, black pepper, touch of mint, salted nuts and delicate oaky notes.
Finish: long, fruity and slightly nutty, with notes of citrus, vanilla, milk chocolate, pepper, allspice, oak and whiffs of sea breeze.
