The original Family Casks Collection was released in 2007 and comprised whiskies from the best casks from the distillery warehouses, bottled at cask strength and of natural color.
The collection included 43 different bottlings, with one for each year from 1952 to 1994. The Family Casks are unique and we are not aware of any other collection of old and rare whiskies that covers 43 consecutive years from the same distillery. Glenfarclas 1988 presented here is the continuation of the ambitious project, part of the renowned Family Cask range. The whisky was aged in refill sherry butt # 7054 for about three decades and bottled at natural strength of 52.4% abv on July 3, 2018 with an outrun of 596 bottles.
