Jim Beam is by far the best selling bourbon brand with almost 9 million cases sold in 2017 (the second brand on the list, Evan Williams, sold “only” 2.4 million cases).
Jim Beam bourbon is distilled from mash composed of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley and matured in char level 4 barrels. The most popular expression is presented here 4 years old White Label. The company owns two distilleries in Kentucky – in Clermont and in Boston and holds more than 1.2 million barrels in their combined inventory. Jim Beam is part of Beam Suntory, the third producer of alcoholic beverages in the world. The bottle comes with two branded glasses.
Nose: classic bourbon aromas, caramel, vanilla, buttered corn, licorice, cinnamon, hints of aniseed and fresh herbs and charred oak.
Palate: follows the nose, caramel, vanilla, toffee, corn flakes, Maraschino cherries, hints of fennel and pepper and charred oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, caramel, honey, roasted peanuts, dash of pepper and charred oak.
