The Old Particular range was introduced in September 2013 by Fred Laing, soon after he parted ways with his brother and business partner Stewart splitting portfolio of Douglas Laing & Co.
Old Particular is an equivalent of Old Malt Cask series, now part of Hunter Laing & Co. portfolio, and consists of single cask expressions of single malt and single grain whiskies sourced from all over Scotland. Strathclyde single grain presented here was distilled in August 1990 and aged in refill barrel no. DL 13328. Bottled at natural strength of 52% abv and without chill-filtration in May 2019 with an outrun of 165 bottles. Strathclyde Distillery was built in Glasgow in 1927. It has been owned by Pernod Ricard since 2005 and produces close to 40 million liters of spirit per annum.
