Adnams Brewery was founded in 1872 in Southwold, Suffolk by George and Ernest Adnams on site, where brewing records go back to 1396.
In 2010 the company established Adnams Copper House Distillery for the production of gin, vodka and whisky, with vodka and gin scoring the highest awards at the 2013 and 2014 International Wine & Spirits Competitions respectively. Adnams Single Malt was launched in 2013 and was the first in a series of seasonal, limited edition whiskies from the brewery/distillery. The small batch edition presented here comprises whisky distilled in copper pot still exclusively from east Anglian barley and aged in virgin French oak casks for four years.
