In 2016 Billy Walker sold BenRiach Distillery Company (BenRiach, GlenDronach and GlenGlassaugh distilleries) and immediately started looking for new challenges.
His purchase of Glenallachie distillery in July 2017 surprised many, mostly because of its big capacity of 4 million liters of spirit per annum. The new core range (featuring four expressions) was released in the summer of 2018 and it was extended the following year with the launch of limited editions wood finishes. GlenAllachie 10 years old presented here was first matured in white American oak barrels then transferred into vintage ruby port pipes sourced from the producer in northern Portugal.
