M&H (Milk & Honey) founded 2013 by Gal and Lital Kalkshtein in Tel-Aviv is the first Israel’s whisky distillery.
The distillery is equipped with a single pair of stills and can produce 800,000 liters of spirit per annum however it is currently running at roughly 25% of its capacity. The distillery operates under guidance of Dr. James Swan, one of the best independent master distillers in the world. The entire production is kosher. M&H Young Single Malt does not carry age destination (our guess would be it is about two years old); it is a vatting of three casks: ex-bourbon barrels, ex-Israeli wine and cask previously used to age peated whisky on the Isle of Islay.
Nose: malty with delicate peaty notes, lemon peel, bread dough, hints of vanilla, cinnamon and oak shavings.
Palate: salty caramel, vanilla, apples, lemon peel, Mirabelle plums, hints of pepper and ginger and touch of peat.
Finish: not too long, with notes of peat, vanilla, malted barley and dash of pepper.
