Kingsbarns Distillery was founded by the Wemyss family in 2014 after tremendous success of their Wemyss blended malt whisky range.
The family has longstanding passion for malt whisky and connections with the industry dating back to the turn of the 19th Century when John Haig built Cameronbridge Distillery on their land. Kingsbarns filled first casks in the early March 2015 and the first whisky was released in the summer of 2018. The distillery is equipped with a singe pair of stills and uses Fife grown barley. Kingsbarns Dream to Dram was aged in first fill ex-bourbon barrels sourced from Heaven Hill Distillery and re-toasted and re-charred barriques and makes perfect example of Lowlands fruity and floral dram.
Nose: fresh, apples, pears, peaches, sweet cereals, vanilla, crème brûlée, hints of freshly mowed grass, fresh herbs and oak shavings.
Palate: light and slightly spirity, mixed herbs, vanilla, honey, brown sugar, lemon peel, apples, pears and white pepper.
Finish: medium long, with notes of mixed herbs, summer fruits, sweet cereals and dash of pepper.
