Blue Label, the ultra-premium expression of Johnnie Walker, was created by the brand master blender Jim Beveridge in 1992 with its main components being Caol Ila, Royal Lochnagar and Mortlach. A quarter of the Century later, Diageo introduced Ghost & Rare, a valuable addition to the Blue Label range. Each edition will be crafted with one extremely rare whisky at its heart, the first being Brora. For Brora & Rare expression Mr. Beveridge chose another two ghost whiskies, Pittyvaich and Cambus, and five from existing distilleries, Royal Lochnagar, Clynelish, Glenlossie, Glenkinchie and Cameronbridge. In the 21st Century Brora malt enjoys cult status and we are certain that so will this extraordinary blend.
