Dewar’s 25 years old The Signature was launched in the fall of 2017 as a replacement of Signature expression.
The latter was bottled without age statement and according to the company statement was made of whiskies aged from 14 to 30 years with Aberfeldy 27 years old at its heart. The new 25 years old is a blend of single malt and single grain whiskies that have been finished in freshly emptied casks previously used for maturation of Royal Brackla, one of the blend components. Since 1998 the Dewar’s brand has been owned by Bacardi Ltd, which acquired it from Diageo along with Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Craigellachie and Royal Brackla distilleries and Bombay gin for £1,150 million. Dewar’s is currently number 9 best selling Scotch blended whisky with annual sales of 2.6 million cases (2017).
