Jim Beam is by far the best selling bourbon brand with close to nine million cases sold annually (2017).
The company is currently owned by Beam Suntory, the third producer of alcoholic beverages in the world, and operates two distilleries in Kentucky – in Clermont and Boston – and holds well over a million barrels in their inventory. Jim Beam bourbon is distilled from mash of 75% corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley. Jim Beam Gold Label was introduced in the late 20th Century for export markets. It is 4 years old bourbon whiskey of smoother palate comparing to the company flagship Jim Beam White Label.
