Arran Distillery has been working with various wood finishes right from the very beginning.
After conducting countless number of experiments the owners set on Port, Sauternes and Amarone finishes as part of the core range. The summer of 2016 brought Madeira Cask Finish and Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish, both not listed in the current range (2019). The whisky presented here was matured in traditional oak casks for unspecified period of time and then transferred into Oloroso sherry wine casks. The whisky was bottled without age statement at 46% abv.
