Bodega Torres was founded in 1870 in Vilafranca del Penedès, a unique region of Catalonia.
Ever since it became the first area in Spain to use stainless steel vats and cold fermentation equipment. The wine growers of the Penedès have been making excellent modern wines from a mix of native and French grape varieties. This has been possible because of the variety of altitudes, lands and micro-climates found in the region, which foster the ideal growth of the different grapes. The name Mas Rabell comes form the 14th Century Catalan farmhouse, which has been a meeting place for wine lovers for centuries. It is also the name of 45-hectre farm in the High Penedès owned by the Torres family, from which they source some of their best fruit. Torres Mas Rabell wines are very popular all over Europe, they offer good quality for competitive price.
Torres Mas Rabell Tinto 2017 is a blend of Garnacha (65%) and Cariñena (35%). The wine offers bouquet of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, licorice and hint of vanilla and greatly complements pasta, veal dishes, aged had cheese, chorizo and prosciutto.
