Turtle Dreaming is a wine brand from the Mare Magnum portfolio, an international corporation producing wide range of “best value” wines in eight countries and appellations under vertical integrated production (own grapes, own production, own bottling).
The brand name comes from the Aboriginal legend about the Wayamba man, who seized a woman and her children from the Oola tribe. Soon the Oolas came to rescue their woman and the Wayamba man jumped into the creek and covered his body with a big shield to avoid spears and boomerangs, which Oolas showered him with. He has never been seen again but soon the villagers spotted strange creature that bore on his back a fixed plate like a shield and when they tried to catch it the creature drew in its head and limbs. Turtle Dreaming presented here is a blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes harvested in southeastern Australia. It is rich and well-balanced wine, with notes of black currants, cherries, cranberries, blackberries, dash of pepper and delicate oaky and herbal notes. Makes good pairing with lamb, grilled chicken and pork. Recommended serving temperature 16-18ºC.
