In the summer of 2018 Brown-Forman Corporation introduced new Jack Daniel’s range, Legacy Edition Series.
We are more than familiar with Jack Daniel’s iconic black and white label but many of the brand followers may not know that the history of the label is much more colorful. Some time before 1904 Jack Daniel’s bottles were rather unexpected shade of green with an eye-catching gold trim, just like the first edition of the Legacy Series. And as usual as that may seem, it is just one of the many labels in Old No. 7’s past. Brown-Forman doesn’t give specific time frame when this label was used; we only learnt that it was before 1904, when Jack Daniel’s whiskey was awarded with its first gold medal at the Saint Louis Whiskey Fair. Jack Daniel’s has been by far the most popular American whiskey with almost 13 million cases sold globally (2017). If we took Indian blends out of equation it is the second best selling whiskey brand after Johnnie Walker.
