Royal Salute is a division of Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky business of Pernod Ricard. The brand is a staple in the sport of polo and it has sponsored more than 15 international tournaments around the world.
In 2017 the company developed the new blend Polo Edition consisting of malts and grains aged for a minimum of 21 years. The following year the Beach Polo Edition was introduced, another 21 years old whisky, this time commemorating beach polo, which has been recently growing in popularity. In his statement Royal Salute master blender, Sandy Hyslop, stated that he took inspiration from “lingering bonfires, evocative salty winds and warm seaside air”. Chivas Royal Salute Beach Polo is presented in hand crafted porcelain bottles adorned with a scene of polo players in action.
