Signatory Vintage founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington is one of the leading independent whisky bottling companies.
On every cask strength bottling the Symingtons always include much appreciated information – the cask number, date of distillation and bottling and number of bottles filled. Glen Grant 22 years old presented here, part of prestigious Signatory Cask Strength Collection, comprises whisky distilled on May 31, 1995 and aged in two bourbon barrels (nos. 82213 and 82214). Bottled at natural strength of 50.8% abv on January 24, 2018 with an outrun of 406 bottles.
Nose: very sweet, vanilla, white chocolate, honey, maple syrup, candied orange peel, apricots, quince jelly, buttered croissant, walnuts and touch of oak.
Palate: sweet and fruity, tangerines, apricots, pineapples, pears in heavy syrup, coconut flakes, vanilla, toffee, nougat, dash of pepper and oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, honey roasted nuts, caramel, apricots, tangerines, hints of aniseed and oak.
