The Botran rums hail from the highlands of Quetzaltenango in Guatemala, where they are manufactured and matured at an altitude of approx.. 2,330 metres above sea level.
The altitude and lower ambient temperature allow for slower and more meticulous spirits maturation. The sugar cane cultivated at such altitudes and then used in the rum production gives the final product an unusual, unique characteristics.
Botran Añejo Rum is matured in the solera system. It is a blend of rums from 5 to 12 years of age. Its bouquet offers notes of sweet vanilla, toffee, oranges, cocoa beans, dried figs, apricots, nuts, almonds and oak.
