Highland Park is one of the most respected Scotch whiskies.
The distillery has been producing excellent whisky but the brand did not start gaining popularity until the early 1980s following considerable investment and aggressive marketing campaign launched by then owners, Highland Distillers. Highland Park has been one the most often bottled single malts by Independent Bottling Companies. The 1999 release from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. comprises whisky distilled in 1978 and aged in ex-sherry casks for over two decades and bottled at natural strength of 53.3% abv. The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. was founded in 1992 by the industry veteran Brain Cook. Their most recognizable brands are Finlaggan, The Ileach and Cooper’s Choice.
