Sherry Cask Finish was the seventh installment in the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch range.
Launched in January 2018 it was the first Blenders’ Batch released exclusively for Travel Retail. The blend is inspired by Johnnie Walker Black and comprised of malts from Blair Athol, Cardhu and Strathmill among others. The components spent a minimum of 12 years in oak barrels including undisclosed time in ex-sherry casks. According to Aimée Gibson, Johnnie Walker blender, Blenders’ Batch whiskies are “a result of more than 100 ongoing experiments that push the boundaries in flavor” with Sherry Cask Finish being “fantastically sweet and rich whisky.”
